We have all heard of personal trainers, personal shoppers, personal assistants – and, maybe, some of us even have them. In this same vein, the University Libraries provide FYI students with a Personal Librarian.

Rachael, Tony and Andy have been serving as Personal Librarians for most of the FYI students for the past few years.

Email Rachael Shea ( and she will find a good match for you. If you have a preference for a particular Personal Librarian, just let her know.

Also, if you happen to come to the reference desk when your Personal Librarian is not there, introduce yourself as an FYI and whoever is on-duty will be sure to give you a great welcome to the Libraries!

We want to be sure that you feel safe and well grounded in basic information research skills, both online and off. We also think that having a personal connection to our librarians—as well as our faculty--can benefit you while you’re at Clark.

We hope to hear from you!
